Hi from Belgium,
I have a Primera P12 QG18DE from 2002, Euro3.
It has a double cat which is broken inside (empty). When I try to order a new cat (parallel market) by inserting my VIN it always comes back with a single cat from a 2004 upgrade (Euro4) . I cannot even order a new one at Nissan.
Problem is my cat has 4 lambdasensors. The single cat has only 2. Would it be possible to delete 2 sensors in the ECU?

Re: CO cat problem
It's possible but not easy to do. To remove 2 sensors, the ecu program would have to be modified and flashed back to the ecu.
Re: CO cat problem
Thank you for you answer. I also guess it wil not be easy. Some say I also need to change the ECU.
I changed the 4 injectors, air flow meter, sparks, air filter.
Today we put new catalyst stones/elements in the housing.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow's vehicle inspection.
