I have downloaded the demo version and hooked up a VAG KKL cable to my laptop and 2002 Elgrand e51...
It seems to be connected but how can i tell for sure that the software will work before i splash out my
Down in tyhe bottom left hand corner it says connected but it flickers...is this normal?...Also, the log anyliser and data replay do nothing ...is this normal in demo version.
oh, btw, it does show an ECU part number

It sounds like you are connected and the NDSII software will work with your car. Just be mindful that if you can connect to the engine ECU (ECM) it doesn't mean you will be able to connect to other ECUs like BCM, TCM, SRS etc. If you are planning to use the NDSII software for the other ECUs you should test connecting to them as well.
The Log Analyser and Data Replay functions are fully functional. You just need to open an existing log file that you probably don't have yet.
