Hi All,
Firstly I wanted to just say hello to everyone and thanks for having me aboard.
I am a 350Z owner living in the UK. I am currently using version 1.4 of the Nissan Datascan software which came with a ODB2 connector I purchased.
I will be purchasing the latest version of the datascan software shortly, but I do have a couple of questions relating to the software that I hope someone can help me with.
1. When I purchase the updated version, I would like to install one copy on my main pc and another on my laptop. Will I be able to use the same activation key for both or is it a case of needing an activation key for each device?
2. Before now I've primarily used the datascan software to retrieve error codes, however I would like to better understand the information received when using the data displays. It all looks great with the dials and everything, but I don't know how to relate to the information. I'm not an expert and if for example I was looking at data from the MAF sensor, I've got no idea whether what I am looking at is good or bad. I've got no reference. Is there anywhere I can get a data sheet or something that shows the acceptable ranges for each sensor/component for my vehicle? This is a great piece of software and I'd just like to be able to use it like a professional and not just be going, ooh look at those lovely dials. If you get my drift.
Thanks.
