1999 INFINITI Q45 NO ADVANCED FUNCTIONS IN NDS 2

Hi All,
I am brand new to the site, and just purchased the NDS II program to get ignition keys programmed into my ECU. Having problems getting this to work. I have a 1999 Infiniti Q45 with both of the diagnostic connection ports, (14 pin Gray, and White OBD2). I am trying to get into the Imobiliser section of NDS II with a VAG 4.09 interface cable, and can connect to get ECU Id, and serial,...but the whole dialog box for Work Support is grayed out! Am I totally screwed on this? I hope not, as 99% of my reasoning for buying the adapter, Nissan Supercode, and NDS II software program is to be able to get working keys for my car. I bought it recently, and the seller only had one key that would work to start it. I know that a dealership can get transponder keys programmed in, as well as a good locksmith, but I really want to do this myself, and also not get robbed blind by the prices. I have two factory original keys new from ebay to get cut and programmed in, so I am sure hoping there is an answer to this that will work. I do suspect that I may be up the creek on this because it looks like my car is a transitional sort of computer issue being between Consult 1, and Consult 2, and OBD 2 interfacing.
Thanks for any Help, or Advice, -Jay

Is the software activated?

If the NDSII software is activated normally the Work Support button is enabled when you connect to the ECM.

Yes. The Nissan DataScanII software is paid for, and activated. I have tried to get into the Work Support section on two different computers. Both laptops, one running Windows 7, 64, and another running Windows XP. Neither will allow key programming in Work Support section.

So it sounds like you can access the Work Support section. Is it only the immobilizer key programming function that is grayed out or all 3 functions are grayed out?

The software checks for supported function when connects to the ECU. If the ECU says that it doesn't support the particular function it will not be enabled in the software.
