I have been using the datascan software and it never reads vehicle speed at the ecu. This also causes the ecu to never activate the VTC. I looked back through all my logs and it never has.

I am using one of the generic nissan 14pin to usb adapters. Is it an adapter problem or a software issue?

Does the ECU actually get the speed sensor signal? Check the ecu wires.
Some people cut the speed sensor wire to avoid speed cut.

Thanks for getting back to me TOM, but I found the issue!!!

It was the generic consult to usb adapter I was using. I had wires connected to the speed signal pin of the DLC and it caused no speed signal to Datascan and blocked it from the ecu. Never would have guessed. I opened it up and snipped the extra wire and now I have speed signal, VTC operation and cruise back. I always drove around with the adapter plugged in and it blocked it all.
