ECU Tuning

Post by Bombardier »

Is this something that will be available in the near future?

I am keen to start modding the ecu on my K12 Micra.

There are no plans to make NDSII a full on tunning software. There are other companies that specialise in that so it's not our main goal.

Do you have experience with tunning stock Nissan ECUs?

Consult I (NDSI) ECUs are not reprogrammable. They have to be modified before they could be reprogrammed. It's not possible to reprogram them just using a software.

I purchased the NDS II hoping for a diagnostic that would compare actual parameter values with values measured in a "normal" tuned engine. My 2000 Altima SE's fuel mileage is quite disappointing compared to what I had been led to expect, and it produces carbon when cold. I have checked compression, changed spark plugs, O2 sensors, filters etc. and still get fuel mileage 20% or so below what our larger 6-cyl Toyota van gets. I'm looking for something that will pinpoint what part is running below par, without guesswork and trial-and-error parts replacement. Seems like the combination of the ECM's capabilities and tools such as this ought to be able to produce readouts such as "Temp sensor voltage near top of normal range", etc. Any suggestions?
