S14 95

I currently have a 95 S14 USDM, with a 00 GTT rb25det Neo engine stalled, and im curious to know since I check and cleared codes on the old Ka24de with the OBD2 port do i need to get the consult for a OBD2? mine car has both OBD1 and OBD2 functions and i have read that some did and some didnt. Any Advice?
