Re: V41 Quest/Villager
Is that a 16 pin?
The pictures aren't clear
If it is, and you guys think it'll work, Sold!

Grr
I guess I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet on this, when I have the $$$
$165 for a one vehicle diagnostic system...... What a world
Edit: I did try a $9 VAG-COM cable for the fun of it, Got some info like timing and idle and trouble codes on NDS-II and I, but it was an inconsistent connection.

Re: V41 Quest/Villager
What tab did you connect from? Was it the ECM tab?
What do you mean by "inconsistent connection"? Did the connection drop out while running in the Data Display form?

Re: V41 Quest/Villager
I connected through the ECM tab once I Think
OBD-II worked as well
It's been a few weeks since I did it, Tomorrow I'll give it all a run through once more for a precise Works/Don't work list
That adapter and licence is still gonna sting real bad.....
But in the name of science!

Re: V41 Quest/Villager
If you can connect with the VAG COM adaptor from the ECM tab don't buy the Consult I adaptor. It's one or the other.

Re: V41 Quest/Villager
Then this works
A Blue VAG-KKL USB adapter into my 16 pin connects in NDS-II under ECM
ECU # 23710-2Z301 SW # 0x475
Now ECU and OBDII work because this is the limited version of the software?
But won't connect to anything else
SRS, ABS, TCM, and Full ECM will light up in the paid version?
Again, thanks for the patience in explaining this all out to me.
Diagnostics in This Ford/Nissan Crossbreed never cease to confuse me
I'm more used to CANBUS Ford's with FORScan
Shame the ISO9141-2 Abilities of my new OBDLink MX can't be put to use with this software. It's ELM backwards compatible, but does a lot more then a clone ELM327

No. '99 and newer V/Q's don't have a 14 Pin Consult connector
My '01 as I see it, is doing Consult over a Consult 2 system
