I'm unable to connect to the BCM

Post by twscaptain »

I can connect to the ECU, though I have to search for it every time I hook up before it will actually connect, and I can connect to the OBDII, but no matter what I try adjusting, I can't connect to the BCM. Any ideas?

Thanks!

What is your car and what year? It could be that your BCM is using the older Consult I connection.

Is there actually a BCM on your car or just the Smart Entrance Control Module?

I'm not 100% sure, and I'm not sure where to look to confirm.

The Smart Entrance Control Module on those cars uses Consult I connection with Rx and Tx lines. Those will definitely not work with NDSII. I can't really find any reference to BCM in the wiring diagrams.

Do you have any specific reason why you are trying to connect to the BCM?
