Hehehe I'm not going to spend too much time on it then. It looks like it can't be just time/RPM based as the values increase with load rather than dropping.

By "alter" you mean changing the maps or writing the modified file to ECU?

Attached is a definition file for EcuFlash that I have developed for the CD405 350Z bin file attached previously.

You can download the EcuFlash from http://www.tactrix.com/index.php?option ... &Itemid=58. Simply add this file to your C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata folder and you will be able to view and edit some of the maps I've been able to identify.

If anyone knows what the "Miscellaneous" maps are please let me know so I can update the definition file.

Hi Tom,
The repeated maps that are the same code as 7574 are Ign Timing related. I have them down as a sort of base ign timing but do not edit these directly as it is too hard to relate the numbers back to the real world. Incidentally, the map values are identical to my X-Trail so they are not specific to your engine. Instead, I edit the low det maps which get overlayed onto the base map. Why the maps are repeated, I don't know, so I edit all of them the same.
The CAM maps are in duty cycle of the controller and won't quite align to CAM degrees but can be close. You will find a retard of several degrees as the RPM drops due to oil pressure and friction.
I don't think 3C80 is the airflow (MAF). I think there is a 32 or 64 byte sequence for that? Same shape, less resolution.
A088 looks like another throttle map - cruise control throttle I think?
Hope this helps a little?

Regards,
John

I found another potential candidate for Air Flow map. Does this look more like it?

Or maybe 913E 64x1 16bit or 943E 32x1 16bit?
Tweak a value and see what happens - what could possibly go wrong?

This is the 0x913E. I think it should be 64x1 and get close to the maximum 0x65535.
I might tweak it and test it when I test my suspects for rev limiters.

Tom

I downloaded EcuFlash & then added the attachment u sent me to C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata. I noticed that there were other folder at this location like subi and mitsu folders but no nissan folder, so I saved the attatched file u sent me under those folders, I then connected the Blitz connector and pressed the read from ecu button, but when the ecu flash box opened up there was no 350z files to select and I wasn’t able to pick another car file to get the EcuFlash program to read, It gave me a "unable to connect to vehicle interface" error. I then created a 350z file folder and put the attached file that u left me in there, it still didn’t show up or work when I pressed the read from Ecu button. Then I also installed a copy of the attached file u sent me in the read templates folder because it had a copy of all the folders that were listed in the ecu flash box, but that still didn’t work. So the question is, how do i get the EcuFlash to work so that i would be able to modify these tables 6849 8bit 16x16 Ign Low Det Add Timing, 6949 8bit 16x16 Ign Low Det Add Timing, 6C09 8bit 16x16 Fuel Compensation, 6E19 8bit 8x8 Target AFR, 6F99 8bit 16x16 Cam Advance, 7DF4 16bit 16x16 Electronic Throttle, 6749 8bit 16x16 Unknown. Cold Add Advance or Hi Det Retard? 7574 16bit 16x16 Unknown. Base Ign Timing likely.
