USB1.0 support

Post by edwardtx »

Does it support USB1.0? Reason I ask is because I have an old laptop with USB1.0 that I'm trying to use Datascan in my garage. I have installed but it does not connect.

Yes it does. It's depended on the driver but the FTDI drivers support USB 1.0.
Does it come up with a Com Port number in Device Manager?

Does Com1 disappear from Device Manager when you unplug the adaptor?
I ask because usually Com1 on older PCs is the serial RS232 port.

Got it to work finally! I had to manually update the FTDI driver for the COM port.

Thanks for all your help!

Yes my com1 disappears when I unplug the adapter, what would be my next step to finding the RS232 port.
