Changing an ECU

Post by michael94100 »

Hello,

i have a problem in my nissan note 1.6 ECU and i want to change it.
If i find an used ECU, can i put it and just use the immobiliser key or do i have to do a clone or something like that?
If i have to clone it, how to do that?

Thanks
Tom

In most cases you need to initialise the ECU so it can talk to the BCM. This is can not be done with the NDSII software. In some cases you might be able to just plug it in and it will just work with the existing BCM.
Once that is done, you will need to re-register the keys so they are recognized by the immobilizer. This function is available with the NDSII Windows PC software.
