DAS Calibration

Post by sonicii »

Just checking if there is any option to add the DAS calibration features for the Direct Adaptive Steering on the newer Infiniti vehicles?

There is some details from page 17 here- https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2013/SB-10054146-1648.pdf

Thanks for the suggestion. Is this procedure mainly used to center the steering wheel to the neutral (straight ahead) position?

DAS is Nissan's 'Steer by wire' system, the DAS calibration centers the steering rack so the vehicle can be properly aligned, it also re-learns the steering wheel center position and aligns this with the steering rack center position.
This is separate from the steering angle sensor learn, which is for the VDC/ABS system.
This is used on some Infiniti Q50/Q60 vehicles, I know these aren't listed on the 'supported vehicles' list, but just about all the existing features of NDSIII work on my Q50.
