If you need to press the Connect button twice it's probably a timing problem. Try adjusting the "Ini Timer Offset" value. You should be able to find a setting that let you connect every time.
You will loose connection if you change tabs. So if you go from the ECM to a TCM tab this will drop connection from the ECM to get ready to establish connection to the BCM. If you go back to the ECM tab you will need to reconnect. You can only connect to one ECU at the time.

What INI number would you suggest?

It depends on your PC. There is no one number that works for all. Try positive and negative values.

-3 number works for the ECM panel but BCM connect won't even start with this number. It needs at least a 0. Setting it to +2 gets a solid BCM connection but of course, doesn't work for the ECM.
