Connection to ECU fails at Keep Alive

Post by NRX »

I have QG16DE engine and I used Find ECU to find that my ECU ID is FE. Then I used that as my ECU id and clicked connect. I though I was successful when I saw some operations going on the status bar. To my horror though it stops at Keep alive. OBD II tab or any other tab doesn't work. Could you please help me ? I'm using a generic VAG Cable I bought off eBay with FTDI chip.

Thanks..

ECU ID FE is not a valid ID. The ECM ID is usually 10 for petrol engines and 12 for diesel engines. FE is actually the tester ID.

You should change the ECU ID to the default one and try adjusting the Ini Timer Offset value. Try positive and negative values. Try connecting every time you make a change.
