2006 350z can not connect to BCM

i have a 350z and i just bought the software and it is not connecting to the bcm? i have a no start no spark condition and i wanted to check everything out with the software but it is not letting me connect. would this mean that i need to have my bcm reprogramed or is this not supported with my car? i see that it is listed under supported but it has a start beside the bcm, not sure what that means.

The BCM connection was only tested on the early model 350Z cars. The later models use a different BCM module that uses a different ECU id. Try searching for ECU ids with "Find ECU" function under Settings->Communication.

If it was an immobilizer issue you would have error codes on your ECM. If you don't have any it must be some other issue. Maybe electrical?
