Hi,

Would it be possible for NDS to support wide band 02 sensor A/F ratios (i.e. 14.7). I know there is already wide band 02 support in units of the lambda air-fuel equivalence ratio. I think more people (including myself) are just more familiar with the +- 14.7 reading.

Not sure what version or wideband you are using but mine it displayed in AFR and I actually prefer Lambda.

I was referring to the OEM WB sensors. Which wideband are you using and what interface? Any advantage to the lambda (alpha?) conversion rather than the typical A/F ratio reading?

I wasn't aware that the oem WB were logged in lambda, looks like I need to do some digging.

Lambda is better because it works off the stoich ratio of any fuel be it gasline, e85, etc. It makes talking about air and fuel ratios confusion free as no matter the fuel the ideal ratio is always lambda=1.

Okay that actually makes a lot of sense. If there are any NDSII devs trolling on here maybe the different A/F ratio reading styles could be added as a "unit conversion" choice

Tom is your guy. PM or email him. I had an issue with my Lc-2 not interfacing(due to innovate changing their comm protocol) and he got it solved for me rather quickly.

Bump. I would love for this to display afr or lambda for the factory widebands... I have an idea what 14.7 is, but otherwise it would be helpful to have it displayed in some sort of units if possible.

Unfortunately this is not as simple as it sounds. There are at least 3 different types of WB O2 sensors used by Nissan. Each of them has a different conversion rate and the conversion is not linear. The sensors also deteriorate and the readings should be calibrated.

What's the part number of the sensor on your car?

I will definitely be checking the part number and posting it here ASAP.

I understand the caveats about calibration, but to have a vague idea what the true AFR is just using the factory widebands would be HUGE!
