I have used the download link and downloaded software. I did not get a icon to open the program. I have to go back to downloads page to open. What am I doing wrong?

Right click on the download link and use the "Save as ..." function so you know where the file is saved.
The downloaded file will be zipped (.zip). Unzip it before installing.
