Hi, there is an undocumented setting on the settings/preferences page on NDS1.63 called 'Timing Correction'
I am about to try and set the timing on my RB25DET NEO as I'm getting some odd results on data logging, and would like to know what this does?
thanks,
Andy

Re: NDS 1.63 preferences
This function is used to correct the timing reading in the NDSI software. Some Nissan engines have the CAS (Cam Angle Sensor) turn around by 15 or 45 degrees giving a false reading in the software. This setting can be used to correct it.
Your RB25DET shouldn't have this issue. If your are adjusting the base timing use the Base Idle Adjustment function in Active Test to stabilise the timing. Otherwise the ECU uses timing to correct idle speed giving erratic timing readout.
