USB Adapter Not Showing Up in Device Manager

Post by jamobailey »

I am trying to get my DataScan set up for the first time and I have run into an issue connecting it to my 300zx. I have a Windows 10 laptop, I am using the Conzult cable from CZP that is compatible with DataScan, I have downloaded and installed the driver from CZP for the cable, and I have the current version on NDS installed and running. When I try to connect to my ECU NDS says I have an invalid port number. I go to my Device Manager to manually set the com port and I do not have the "Ports: COM & LPT" option listed, much less it showing the adapter connected. I have re-downloaded NDS, the USB adapter driver several times, tried all of my physical USB ports, wiggled the connector around and nothing shows up. I can connect a USB Flash drive to my computer with no problems.

I have not seen other issues in the research I have done so any help would be appreciated.
