No FTDI USB device found - NDS I Android App

Car: 1990 Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo.
Cable: PLMN Consult 14-pin to USB cable.

I can get the consult cable to work with NDS software on a Windows 10 compute but I cannot get it to connect on an Android device.

I have tried it on a Samsung Galaxy S10 with the OTG dongle that comes with the phone and I have also tried it on a double din Android Stereo. Neither can find the USB device. Is there a special setting or walk through that explains how to connect the NDS I app to USB Consult cable?

I have already set the connection setting to Wireds FTDI in the app.

The PLMS and NIStune adaptors use custom VID and PID numbers. They are different to the default FTDI IDs and the Android driver is not recognising them as FTDI devices.

In the NDSI app, go to Settings->FTDI VID & PID and then add the VID and PID used by your adaptor.

You can find the VID and PID used by your adaptor in Windows Device Manager. Go to device Properties->Details->Hardware Ids.
