Re: NDSI for Android 1.1 released
Hello again. I have already made the wire to convert my 16 pin connector for a 14 pin OBDII nissan consult. I have also received my "consult USB" device ........... But there is one problem: the USB device requires 5V power to run and do not know any android device which can supply voltage. With this device, you can not use the new option to connect NDSI android device via usb.
We would have to fabricate a cable to provide 5V to the consult device and use another cable in the 2 wires that supply data to andorid device?
If I connect the device to a laptop that if supply 5V via USB, it works.

Thanks for the help.
But my Samsung supplies power to the device, the power indicator lights up and the program for the test FTDI devices "Consult usb" defines the normal

Re: NDSI for Android 1.1 released
Rubengr: You can use NDSI app with USB adaptor now. Give it a try.
Re: NDSI for Android 1.1 released
Hi Tom . The problem is that the usb adapter requires current android device. Neither my phone or my tablet, gets power the usb device. Just feed him using my laptop , but I have not gotten any program to connect to the ecu or my Nissan Patrol ZD30 , nor with my Nissan Primera P11 GA16DE .
No what I'm doing wrong.

Re: NDSI for Android 1.1 released
Rubengr: If I understand correctly you are trying to build a Consult I adaptor with OBDII plug to connect to your ZD30 Nissan Patrol.
You will need to wire the Consult I adaptor (14 pin) to a 16pin OBDII plug. You should have 4 wires: Tx, Rx, Gnd, Positive +12V.
The USB adaptor is powered by the car not the Android device.

Re: NDSI for Android 1.1 released
Hi Tom. I'll send you some pictures of what I have prepared for NDSI attempting to run my car. My car has a 16 pin OBDII connector. But the pins are in correspond with Nissan DDLI protocol. This protocol can only be read by a Nissan Consult adapter 14 pin.
As I can not plug my adapter 14 pin plug in my 16 pin, I had to make the cable that you see below. I have checked the pins of the plug that goes to my car, correspond to the pins where I plug my adapter Nissan Consult.
If I plug my adapter Nissan Consult in my car, do nothing. Just get it on, if I connect the USB cable to a laptop.
