Ok, little update. I downloaded ecutalk to see if i was going to still have the connection issue and it works just fine. I was able to connect and monitor everything with the exception of the speedo, which still doesnt read.
Any suggestions as to why my datascan doesnt want to work?

I'm having a weird ecu connection issue. I have a track electronics Bluetooth connector and downloaded consult I and when trying to use the "connect" button on the main screen it shows the blue progress bars working for a couple of seconds but then freezes. Hey I'm having the same issue. when my contultbt is plugged in the car stumbles when trying to start and immediately throws the knock sensor code. when unplugging the bluetooth unit the car fires right up and sounds great. I'm running a J4 ecu. Dont think that has any affect though.
