Re: ECU never fully connects, no choices in data display set
Thanks for all your help. Tom. Using your software I was finally able to get my car to complete an idle air volume relearn which had never before worked when I tried to do it manually while following the official service manual instructions. So finally my third ECU in this car is working properly ...

Re: ECU never fully connects, no choices in data display set
Problem solved and it was my fault. The OBD2 is the correct and only data link connector on my 2000 Maxima and is now connecting completely to your scan software. I apparently caused the incomplete connection problem with the ECU when during initial setup I did a ECU search under communication ...

Re: ECU never fully connects, no choices in data display set
As you can probably tell from my photo, I removed the plastic trim cover under the dash so I have good access and visibility of all of the wiring under and behind the dash and there is no 14 pin Consult connector anywhere, just the OBD2 connector visible in my photo.

There is no 14 pin connector of any sort. I even double checked the connector directly below the fuses with some spliced wires ...

Re: ECU never fully connects, no choices in data display set
And, as I said in my initial post, the grid is there but there are no choices available for designating the data gauges

Re: ECU never fully connects, no choices in data display set
I couldn't find any data connector other than the the OBDII connector and the official Nissan service manual for this model shows that you connect the Consult2 to the OBDII connector. After a few attempts the ECU function of your data scan software shows the generic OBDII to USB cable connected and ...

ECU never fully connects, no choices in data display setting
Nissan DataScanII OBDII works but 2000 Maxima GLE won't ever fully connect to ECU/ECM so that the ECU part # or software version # are never completed. I reduced Ini timer to -5, but seems to work ok between -1 and -5. Also there is no laundry list of choices (or any choices whatsoever) for each of ...
