Re: V41 Quest/Villager
I connected through the ECM tab once I Think
OBD-II worked as well
It's been a few weeks since I did it, Tomorrow I'll give it all a run through once more for a precise Works/Don't work list
That adapter and licence is still gonna sting real bad.....
But in the name of science!

Re: V41 Quest/Villager
Grr :( I guess I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet on this, when I have the $$$ $165 for a one vehicle diagnostic system...... What a world Edit: I did try a $9 VAG-COM cable for the fun of it, Got some info like timing and idle and trouble codes on NDS-II and I, but it was an inconsistent ...

Re: V41 Quest/Villager
I see.
Well are there any alternatives to that $100 cable?
Any STN adapters? What protocols does it need?
On the supported adapters page it says that several VAGCOM cables have been tested and work.

Re: V41 Quest/Villager
Also, I read on the homepage that a 409/409.1 VAG COM 16 pin cable would work? Would this work in my instance?
I would be able to bear the cost of a $10 adapter over a $100 quite a lot easier.

Re: V41 Quest/Villager
I see.
Does NDS do thing's differently then the Factory Scan Tool
Because all over the FSM, It references using a "Consult II", It even uses a picture of a II.
I just want to be 100% sure before I drop $150+ on something that may not work.
