1. How do I activate the NDS I Dash software?

  • To activate the software open NDS I Dash Activation window from Start->Programs-> NDS Dash-> Software Activation. Enter your name and registration email address that you have provided at the time of purchasing the software. Generate a Registration Code.
  • Login to the Nissan DataScan I Dash members area using credentials provided when purchasing the software and click on "Register Software" button.
  • Copy and Paste your Activation Code from the NDS I Dash software and click the "Generate Activation Key" button.
  • Copy and Past your Activation Key to the NDS I Dash software and click the "Unlock" button.
  • You will receive a pop up message confirming activation of your NDS I Dash software.

2. None of the gauges are updating and there is a message at the bottom saying "Selected parameter not supported by the ECU".

You have probably setup one of the gauges to a parameter that is not supported by your ECU. If you don't know which gauge is causing problems try changing all gauges to parameters that you know are supported by your ECU i.e. RPM, Speed, Water Temperature. In the above example it's the "Air Temp C" parameter that is not supported.

3. How do I use the NDS I Dash software?

  • NDS I Dash comes with default setup that will work with most ECUs. Once started the software will try to connect to the ECU after 5 seconds and retry ever 3 seconds afterwards.
  • There are 6 views: A, B, C, D, E, F. Settings for each view are independent and the last used settings is always saved. The software will always open with the last used view. Views can be change by clicking on the button at the top of the screen or by pressing the equivalent keyboard key.
  • To exit the software press ESC key or click on the exit button.
  • To change the gauge parameter click on that gauge. The gauge will change to a new parameter and the software will try to reconnect to the ECU after 3 seconds.
  • The Duty Cycle parameter will not work correctly in views A and B as it requires RPM and Injector time to calculate.
