The Nissan DataScan II for Android is intended for newer Nissan cars equipped with 16 pin OBDII connecter and use Consult II protocol over K line (DDL2). The connector is usually located near the fuse box. A list of cars that the software has been tested on is located on the Supported Vehicles page. The list is by no means comprehensive and is constantly being updated as new vehicles are tested.

The NDSII application supports both, petrol and diesel cars. It communicates with the engine ECU using Consult II protocol. It uses the same communication protocol as the dealer diagnostic tool. This protocol is far more comprehensive than the generic OBDII protocol. Following functions are currently available: Data Display with Data Logging, Self Diagnostics, Work Support, Dash Display with customizable gauges and Video Recorder.

It requires a Bluetooth adaptor that utilises the ELM327 chip for communication. They can be purchase from automotive Internet stores or eBay.

NOTE: There is a number of new adaptors from China with fake ELM327 v2.1 chip. Those adaptors do not have all required commands and are not supported. For a list of tested adaptors please visit Supported Adaptors page.

The NDSII app can be downloaded from Google Play store NDSII for Android.

If you would like to test the connection to your car you can download the NDSII Lite free version NDSII Lite for Android.

The Nissan DataScan II app supports factory Nissan engine ECUs. Aftermarket ECUs like Apexi Power FC or F-Con V Pro are not compatible with this app.
