Description
The NDS II Android app is intended for Nissan and Infiniti cars build between years 2001 and 2008*. Majority of these cars are equipped with a 16 pin OBDII connecter and use Consult II protocol over K-line (DDL2). The connector is usually located near the fuse box.
A list of cars that the software has been tested on is located on the Supported Vehicles page. The list is by no means comprehensive and is constantly being updated as new vehicles are tested.
The NDS II app supports petrol and diesel cars. It communicates with the engine ECU using Consult II protocol. It uses the same communication protocol as the dealer diagnostic tool. This protocol is far more comprehensive than the generic OBDII protocol.
A Bluetooth, WiFi or USB diagnostic adaptor is required to connect to the car. This app is design to work with adaptors build on the popular ELM327 chip. They are very well priced and available from many internet stores and eBay. See the recommended adaptors on the Supported Adaptors page.
The app supports factory OEM ECUs. Aftermarket ECUs are not supported.
Functions supported by the NDS II app are listed on the Functions page.
The NDSII app can be downloaded from Google Play store NDSII app.
If you would like to test the connection to your car you can try the free NDSII Lite app.
*Some vehicles manufactured after 2008 may still use K-line for diagnostics
