1. I’m trying to connect to my car’s ECU but I get an error message “Unable to open COM1”.

The COM Port number that the NDS II software is trying to use is invalid. A COM Port number was assigned to your adaptor by the driver at the time of first installation. This COM Port number will need to be entered in the NDS II software under Settings->Communication.

If you don’t know what COM Port number was assigned to your adaptor you can find in Device Manager under “Ports (COM & LPT)”.

2. Which NDS version works with my car?

A list of tested cars is located on our Supported Vehicles page. If your car is not on the list, there is still a good chance it is supported. See the Which NDS software works with my car? post for a general guidance.

3. Can I install NDS software on Apple Mac or Linux?

Unfortunately, no. At this stage we only have software for Windows PC and Android.

    4. Is there a trial version of the NDS software?
